The Cathedral Choir of Boys and Girls follows the training scheme of the Royal School of Church Music, with some adaptations for the Catholic liturgy and other local needs. Boys and girls in grades 3 through 8 audition, and those who pass become "Beginners". As part of the choir routine, they are trained in music reading, vocal production, repertoire, liturgy, Christian character, and responsibility. After passing a series of requirements, they pass from beginner status to "Junior", then "Senior" and "Chorister". The choir is divided into teams of 3 to 5 children, each of them overseen by a team leader, and each vocal section has a head chorister or section leader. In this way, the children learn to teach each other. The Choir also belongs to the Pueri Cantores organization, which encompasses Catholic children's choirs from around the world. Through this organization, our singers meet other children who share their love of music.
